Citizens live in many communities today. Families and neighborhoods, work and recreation places, civic, volunteer, hobby, social groups, all are communities of value and claim upon the citizen's time, talent and treasure. In the heart of this American way of life is the local faith community.
True religion is important to Episcopalians. We live with a calendar of holy seasons and days, sacraments for every time of life, sacred scriptures and creeds, orders of ministry and the wisdom and support of an Anglican tradition that has stood the test of time in every corner of the globe.
For us the worship of God is as natural as breathing and as necessary to the soul as bones are to flesh. When we have done our duty in worship every Sunday, we go forth empowered each week to be and become the passionate presence of Christ for each other and the world we are called to serve.
